Way hay. My 2007 script frenzy is finally under way.
I started it a little late due to..well you can read more about that here.
On to the script.
The script is best described as Out of the past meets Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow. So thats film noir meets steampunk! Although I’m not really happy with the label streampunk for what I’m doing here, maybe retropunk would be better! Anyway back to the script.
It’s set in a world which I’ve had rolling around in my head for some time now. I like the ‘feel’ of the 30′s style Saturday morning pictures, like Flash Gordon and Rocket man and I wanted to do some stories of that sort in setting of my own.
The world it’s self has been worked on for a little while now and I plan to use this same world for my Nanowrimo story this year, there will even be some character crossovers between the two. Having said all of this, the screen play I’m working on for script frenzy hasn’t had much work done on it. A lot less in fact that I’d done on my Nanowrimo story last year, so expect the plot to be full of holes, contrived events and of course lots of bad dialogue!
Due to the fact that screen plays have weird formating I’ve decided not to post the work as I do it the way I did Nanowrimo last year. But don’t worry, you will get to see the finished script in all of it’s dubious glory here in pdf format or view it on line here
